The Inverter and the unfolding story of trying to solve error code C2861/81& C2864/84 Sept 24 2017

The AHA moment in a spreadsheet that documents the reverse engineering of the Inverter interface and the IGBT daughter board. This should lead me to a method to test the IGBT's without letting the smoke out. IGBT pin out spreadsheet. This continues to be a work in progress, more to come. October 1 2017

The above pictures are the main driver logic boards that takes input from the ECU and  controls the three 600 amp IGBT's that feed power to the main motor. The three connectors in the middle feed the IGBT's and the white and black connectors are inputs and outputs back to the Cars ECU etc.

The following pictures are the removal sequence for the inverter components.

I MUST WARN YOU TO FOLLOW PROPER SAFETY PROCEDURES IF YOU ATTEMPT THIS !!!!!!!

HIGH VOLTAGE IS PRESENT it COULD KILL KILL YOU OR DAMAGE YOR CAR FURTHER.

Disconnect the auxiliary battery, remove the battery disconnect located in the floor behind the drivers seat.

Wait an hour to ensure the capacitors are discharged

Test there is no voltage present at the battery input to the suit case. Remove the keys from the ignition.
